iPhone 4 and review about...

Review about this iPhone
iPhone 4 Black 16GB (Verizon) (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I picked up the Verizon iPhone 4 on its release date and am very pleased with its performance so far. Previously, I used a Droid Incredible, which was also a great phone.

To preface this review, I am a light to moderate user that mostly uses the device for making phone calls, texting, checking email, and occasionally using internet and maps. I'm not the type to sit around for hours playing games on my phone, nor have I ever streamed any video on my phone. I have one "official" app on my iPhone that is related to the camera, and I don't use it to listen to music; I have a separate iPod for that (to save my phone's battery).

The Verizon iPhone works great as a phone and has the best call quality in a smartphone that I have ever used. This is in comparison to my previous Droid Incredible, a Blackberry Curve prior to that, and my friend's Motorola Droid. The earpiece volume is crisp and sufficiently loud, making the other person easy to hear. The microphone works well too based on what people I call tell me. The visual voicemail system is phenomenal- it's all managed by the phone itself instead of through Verizon, so when a person gets your voicemail message, all they hear is your personalized recording without the "at the tone, please record your message. When you are finished recording..." garbage.

Texting and email work nicely. The touch keyboard feels more natural than most other touch screens I've used on other mobile operating systems. One strange thing about texts is that the phone will make a "whoooop" noise everytime you send a text. There's no way to turn this sound off by itself without putting the entire phone in silent mode. Not a big deal for me, but I can see how this would really annoy some people.

Based on my personal experience and all the reviews floating around online, the camera is without question the highest quality camera you will find on any phone today because of an ideal blend of lens quality, the type of sensor, and a modest megapixel count. Higher megapixels do not correlate with higher quality images; although there are many other phones out there in the 8+ megapixel range, none match the overall image quality of the iPhone. The 8 MP camera on my Droid Incredible doesn't even come close.

One thing I really miss from the Android OS is Google Navigation. No turn-by-turn voice guided navigation software comes with the iPhone. Apps are available that provide this feature, but they are inferior to Google's program.

Battery life is excellent for this type of phone. Most days with light to moderate use from 7 AM to midnight, I end the day with around 80% battery remaining. Obviously, if you're a power user, it's gonna use more juice. I'm particularly impressed with how little battery is used when the phone is on standby. Battery life was my biggest gripe about Android (HTC phones tend to be notoriously bad at battery conservation), and it is a huge relief to not have to carry around a spare battery anymore.

If you're considering converting to Apple from an Android phone, there are a few areas of frustration. The notification system on the iPhone is archaic and unnecessarily intrusive. Texts will pop up on the screen regardless of whatever you're doing, requiring you to exit whatever you're in the middle of to reply. Android's notification system is excellent, and I am hoping this issue will be addressed in a later version of iOS. Also, there is very little flexibility as far as how the phone is personalized to your tastes. Not happy with the 6 text tones that Apple gives you? Too bad- you're stuck. There's no easy way to add more text tones. A third issue- when using Safari mobile, there is no way to disable mobile view. Sites like yahoo and banking sites will automatically funnel you to the mobile (crippled) version of their websites. In Android, all you do is check a box to disable mobile view. No such luck with iOS.

Fortunately, there is a way around all of the above restrictions, provided you're a moderately intelligent person with a basic knowledge of computers. This and any iPhone can be easily modified to fix all the problems I mentioned- just search online for instructions.

The back glass plate seems to be fairly prone to collecting light scratches. I had my last phone for 10 months with no case and no screen protector the entire time, and it never got a single scratch. Since noticing the tiny scratches on the back of my iPhone, I bought a minimalistic case for it, and it's been fine since then. Still no scratches on the front glass in 5 weeks of use so far, so I have no plans to ever use a screen protector.

One last thing I'll mention: there is not a single piece of Verizon bloatware on this phone, unlike every other smartphone I've owned that came installed with all the crap applications loaded on by the carrier... Read more

I bought this Iphone as a stop gap so I could have an Iphone 4 from Verizon without having to re up my contract- which I would do when the new Iphone 5 comes out. Bought it from this Amazon third party seller. It came two days after I ordered it. It is perfect! New and works like a dream. So if you don't want to spend full retail on this phone, and don't want to re-up your Verizon contract, this is the ONLY way to go!! Excellent!!

I LOVE this iPhone! I had to get a new phone when my old one crapped out, so I thought, "Why not get the most hyped up phone on the market?" Now I know WHY it's so hyped up...it's definitely the coolest phone I've seen! When I received it, it had only been used for 6 hours. It was in pristine condition and had a clean ESN. The only bad thing I have to say about the iPhone is that if you're using it frequently during the day, it'll only last about 24 hours, so I have to charge it every night. But that's not really a problem for me because I've always done that. I just plug it in right before I go to bed. Apps are easy to download, ringtones are clearer and crisper than on any other phone I've had, and it's true what they say: If you have a need for it, there's an app for that! Apps are also very easy to erase if you don't like them. It's also very nice that I can turn my phone sideways when sending a text and the keypad gets a little bigger (I have big fingers), so I don't mess up my typing as much. It didn't come with an instruction manual per se, just a little pamphlet thing that told me about a few things that it does. It was fun to figure the phone out as I used it. I haven't had ANY problems with it (I've had it for a little over two months) and I'm so glad I purchased this phone! Easily the best $475 I've ever spent!

The incredible story of Steve Jobs reported by him

"We need to follow your dreams and do what we like, living every day as if it were your last." Steve Jobs's call one of the richest people on the planet and the founder of Apple. Steve Jobs has resigned from Apple in the middle management this week because of his health, and the American press Saturday showed shocking images of the former CEO of Apple.

The website TMZ.com has published pictures of Steve Jobs, which seems very sick. The photos were taken two days after Apple announced Wednesday the U.S. group employer and co-founder resignation, sick leave in January.

and 2 days after resign....

In six years ago Steve Jobs spoke in front of Stanford University graduates. He said these three stories to inspire the living.

The first story is about the connectionsI quit Reed College after the first six months, but I was still in college 18 months after I left. Why did I quit?
I started to quit before I was born. My mother was a young unmarried biological, college graduate who decided to give me up for adoption. He felt that should be adopted by two graduates and arranged so that at birth to be adopted by a lawyer and his wife. Just when I was born they changed their mind and said they want a girl. So my parents, who were on the waiting list, they received a call in the middle of the night and were asked if they want a boy and their answer was affirmative. My mother's biological mother found out later that he never completed college adoptive and my father did not finish high school. He refused to sign the final adoption papers. He made a few months later when my parents have promised one day you go to college.
At 17 I went to college. But I naively chose a college that was almost as expensive as Stanford, and all parents' savings were spent on my studies. After six months, I've never understood the point of college. I had no idea what I want to do in life, nor how the faculty could help me I know what I want. And so we spent all the money parents, whom he gathered a lifetime. I decided to give up and think everything will be fine. It was pretty scary at the time, but the following was the best decision I ever made.

It was all beautiful. I had no where to sleep, slept on the floor of the room of a friend, back bottles of Coca Cola for 5 cents that I gathered them to buy food, go seven miles on foot every Sunday night to get the best table in a week at the Hare Krishna temple. I loved that food. and all I endured for my curiosity and intuition from proved invaluable later. Let me give you an example:
Reed College at that time offered the best calligraphy courses in the country. On campus every poster, every label on the drawers was hand written with impeccable penmanship. Because I gave up and did not have to attend regular classes, we decided to go to penmanship courses to learn to write beautifully.
I learned about serif and san serif fonts, how to leave some space between different letter combinations. It was beautiful historic, artistic, subtle in a way that science can not capture and I found it fascinating.
None of these I had not thought it will have practical application in life. But 10 years later, when the first Macintosh computer makes the project all came to mind me. and I the planned everything Mac. This was the first computer with beautiful typography. If I had not chosen a single course in college, the Mac would have never had multiple typefaces or proportionally spaced fonts. and how Windows just copied the Mac, it is obvious that no personal computer would not have it. If you do not give up college, I would have never taken courses in calligraphy and computers may not have had the wonderful typography that they have. Of course it was impossible to make the connection between these points, looking forward in college, but it was very, very clear looking backwards ten years.
You can not make connections between points on the back just before. So you have to think points will connect sometime in the future. You have to believe in something - destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach does not ever let me down and made all the difference in my life.
Steve Jobs on Apple's behalf. "I was a fan of fruit at that time. Eat only fruit. I was three months ago with filing a fictitious business name and I threatened that I will call Apple Computer, if nobody comes up with an interesting idea at five that day. I hope that I will stimulate creativity. But we got stuck so we called Apple. "

The second story is about loss
I was lucky I found what I want to do early in life. Woz and I started working at Apple in my parents garage when I was only 20 years. We worked hard and in 10 years Apple has grown from two people in a garage to a $ 2 billion company with over 4,000 employees.
Just released our best creation of the Macintosh, a year before, and just turned 30 when I was fired. How can you be fired from a company that you created? When Apple grew we hired someone you thought talented enough to lead the company with me, and things went well early. But our visions started to be different. Our Board of Directors decided him to remain. So I went to 30 years. Everything was the center of my adult life crumble, I was devastated.
I did not know what to do for several months. I felt like I dezagamit future generations and entrepreneurs. I met with David Packard and Bob Noyce and tried to apologize because I gave the bar so bad. But it was a public failure and I even thought about fleeing the area.
Then it began to dawn, I was still in love with what I did. Events at Apple had not changed that. I was rejected but still loved what I did. So I decided to take it again.
Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs had a prototype of the Apple I at a meeting of computer enthusiasts in Palo Alto, California. A local computer dealer has ordered 100 units. About 200 were built and Apple were sold in 10 months to 666.66 dollars.
I have not seen it then, but that I was fired from Apple was the best thing that happened to me. Weight to be a successful man was easily replaced a beginner, less sure of anything. Me free to get the most creative period of my life.
In five years I started to put up a company called another company named Pixar Next and I fell in love with the woman who became my wife. Pixar created the first computer animated film, Toy Story, is now the most successful animation studio in the world. Apple bought Next I returned to Apple and the technology we develop at NeXT is at the heart of Apple's revival. And Laurene and I have had a wonderful family together.
I am almost sure that none of this would not have happened if I was not fired from Apple. It was a terrible drug, but I guess the patient needed it. Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. But you do not lose hope. I'm sure the only thing that made me go on was that I loved what I did. You have to find what you love. and it's something as true for work and for your loved one. Work will occupy much of life and the only way to be satisfied is to do what you think is good work for you. and the only way to do a good job is to love what you do. If you have not found it yet, still looking. Do not wait. Your heart will know when you'll find. and as a great relationship, it will become better and better with age. So looking until you find one. Do not wait.
The third story is about my death
When I was 17 I came across a quote that said something like: If you live each day as if it last one day you will definitely be good. "I was impressed then and in the last 33 years, I looked mirror every morning and I asked "if today would be the last day of my life, I do what I do today?" and each time the response began with a "No" several days in a row, I knew you have to change something.
Remembering that I'll soon die was the best tool that I had and that helped me to make important choices in my life. Because almost everything - all expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure works - all these things pale before moartii, leaving only the important things. Remembering that you die is the best way to avoid falling into the trap of thought that have something to lose. Already without protection. There is no reason not to follow your heart.
In a few years ago I was diagnosed with cancer. I made an investigation at 7.30 am and ultrasound clearly showed a tumor in the pancreas have. I did not know what the pancreas. My doctor said it was a type of incurable cancer and that I will live three years and six months. The doctor advised me to go home and put my affairs in order, the coded message that tells doctors to prepare for death. Means to tell your kids in a few months what you would like to say in the next ten years. Means to make sure everything is in order to be as easy for your family. It means to say goodbye.
I lived with that diagnosis. Later I did a biopsy of the tumor. I was sedated but my wife who was there told me that when they examined cells, the doctors started crying because it turned out to be a very rare form of pancreatic cancer that can heal after surgery. I had surgery and now I'm fine.
This time I was closest to death and I hope to remain so for decades. Living that I can say that death is a useful concept, but just intectual:

Nobody wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven do not want to die to get there. and death is a destination that all share. Nobody escapes it. and so must be, because death is the greatest invention of life. It is life-changing agent. It is clear that the old must give way to new. Now you are the new, but someday not too long, you'll be old and you disappear. Sorry I'm so dramatic, but true.
Your time is limited not waste it living someone else's life. Do not live locked in doctrine, which means to live according to the results of other people thought. Do not let the noise of other opinions stifle your own voice. and most importantly must have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. She already knows what needs to be. Everything else should be in the background.
Jobs in the age of 56, is on sick leave since January, for an indefinite period. Two years ago underwent a liver graft and in 2004 was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Resignation surprise Wednesday night's Steve Jobs from the leading Apple has wiped $ 52 billion in value index Standard & Poor's (S & P) 500 scholarship from New York ahead of the meeting on Thursday, while fans and investors deplore the withdrawal of legends of technology.
